Vintage CORO Pegasus Bracelet silver-tone Art Deco matte USA 1940-1950s signed Design patent Gift idea The sophisticated Art Deco bracelet from famous Coro Jewelry company. The bracelet has a domed shape in the center, and then narrows into two hinged parts, thanks to which this bracelet is easy to put on and take off. This is a unique design developed by the masters-jewelers of Coro company in 1940s and patented in 1950. The patent 159,636 was filed for the design of a "bracelet or similar article" on September 2, 1950 by Coro's chief designer - Adolph Katz. The drawing shows a similar bracelet with a hinged mechanism but with crystal inserts. The bracelet was a bestseller of the company and was produced in different colors and with various inserts. There was even a watch in this setting - an object of desire! Signed: "Coro Pegasus PAT. PEND" The bracelet can be dated from 1945 to 1950 due to the signature and the patent. Coro has been producing premium costume jewelry under the Coro Pegasus brand, with the image of a flying winged horse, since 1945 Bracelet size: approximately 17 cm - will fit a thinner or an average wrist.
