Single strand wraparound necklace/bracelet in handmade silver beads (N0116)

This versatile wraparound bracelet/necklace is composed of tiny handmade silver beads, beaded on 140cm long single string. The two ends of the string terminate with handmade silver patterned beads and a small stopper bead. The long string can then be wrapped or tied like a scarf, worn in front or so that the long parts hang down the back, or as a wraparound tie-bracelet. Each time it can become a different piece of jewelry. All our silver jewelry is made in 95-98 % silver by the Karen hill-tribe silversmiths. The Karen are a group of ethnic peoples who reside primarily in southern and southeastern Burma and in northern and north-eastern Thailand. Thai and Burmese hill tribes can be traced back to the 12th century when they are said to have originated from Tibet. With a higher silver content than sterling silver, Karen silver has a weight, bright satin color and feel, all of its own. Every piece is handmade and individual.
